{in}bloom was founded in march 2008 by Antje Artmann and Alexander Hommel in Maastricht, the Netherlands. It is foremost a web design studio, which focuses on creating fresh and effective web presences for small companies as well as for individuals.

In addition, {in}bloom is responsible for the initiative [bewust leven], which presents "green" organisations that are located in Maastricht and surroundings and provides information on all aspects of conscientious living. The aim is to stimulate the consumption of local goods and services to help preserving the nature and to encourage fair trade and equal rights for all human beings.
